Biography:
Judith Harper specializes in New York State genealogy, including the colonial period. She has undertaken projects as far east as Albany and Columbia Counties and as far west as Buffalo and Chautauqua County. As a former Massachusetts native, Judith finds she now thrives on the unique challenges of New York State research. In addition to researching and writing her clients family histories, she also conducts freelance research for the New England Historic Genealogy Society. Judith has taught writing at both the middle school and college levels. After working in publishing for 8 years, she then went on to write her own works of U.S. history, focusing especially on women s history. When she s not working genealogically, she can be found hiking Adirondack trails with friends and her golden retriever Sasha.
