Biography:
I'm a history geek turned librarian, marketer, and genealogist. My passion is helping genealogists, societies, and individuals better connect with the people that matter to them. I have 30 years of research experience, specializing in in-depth knowledge of sources. My clients have Midwestern roots, and I uncover their family's personal connection to history. Rather than only delivering a report, I work to create an experience that brings their family to life. This might be a virtual experience or a road trip to see the places their ancestors lived. As a marketer and strategist, I have more than 15 years experience working with large companies leading strategic planning sessions, developing brands, and conducting market research to better understand how consumers think and feel. I use my strategic marketing experience to help genealogy societies and other professional genealogists refine their brands, position their businesses for maximum impact, think strategically, and learn how to best communicate to the audiences they hope to attract. As a coach, I enjoy working with new genealogists to learn how to do solid research.
