Margaret Jordan, MAGI
I am a Genetic Genealogist based in Co. Cork, Ireland. While I still do some traditional genealogy, my main focus is on genetic genealogy. I have successfully utilized genetic genealogy in my own personal family history research and I advise people on their DNA results, on a daily basis. I am very familiar with the three main genetic genealogy testing companies: Family Tree DNA, AncestryDNA and 23&Me. However, I am not affiliated with any genetic genealogy testing company so my advice is impartial. My experience also involves being a voluntary administrator of two yDNA projects at Family Tree DNA, for over ten years. One of these projects is the Ireland yDNA Project which now has over 7,000 members who come from the Irish diaspora as well as men who are resident in Ireland. The other project is the O'Shea yDNA Project which is a surname based project. I am also managing an autosomal DNA Family Finder Project. Finding family using DNA is my speciality.
Analysis of DNA tests including autosomal, mtDNA and yDNA. Relating DNA results to family trees and reconnecting families. Guidance for future testing.
