Nancy Archdekin has over 35 years of family history research experience and has worked as a professional genealogist and lecturer since 2000. Originally from Western New York, she currently resides in Omaha, Nebraska. She provides research throughout the US and is also proficient in using civil and parish records from the Alsace and Lorraine regions of France where her ancestral roots originate. Nancy continues to expand her research and writing skills through a variety of educational venues. She received her bachelor's degree in French from the University of Nebraska, Omaha in 2013, has attended the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG), and is currently on the wait list for the 18-month Professional Genealogy Study Group (ProGen). Nancy volunteered at the Omaha Family History Center for 14 years, served on the board of the Western New York Genealogical Society for 18 years, was the Production Editor of the WNYGS JOURNAL for four years, and is the current Treasurer of the Great Plains Chapter of APG. She is a member of multiple national and local genealogical societies.
