Charter Oak Genealogy
Truly a life long genealogist, I have a unique background that can help you achieve your project goals. Beyond extensive research experience, I hold an undergraduate degree in History and French Literature, a graduate degree in History (American Civil War focus), and two certificates in genealogical research. I have also completed teacher training in World Languages (French, K-12).
As a genealogy teacher, I love working with clients who want to do their own research. I can coordinate your research on a complicated tree, building out what material you have or connecting you with a local researcher. I can also act as a consultant, guiding your work as needed.
An experienced researcher with a background in Connecticut, cross-border (US and Canada), Civil War, and Luxembourg-American research, I can help you break through your brick walls in those areas or help get a project off the ground.
As a certification eligible French teacher, I'm comfortable conveying the language to native English speakers. I will be glad to help translate the records you need to guide your project - or to complete the project myself.
