LaBrenda Garrett-Nelson, CG℠
I worked as a tax lawyer for 35 years; however, genealogy has long been my avocation. After retiring from the practice of law in 2013, I began to focus on my mission to research, write, and lecture to inspire descendants of African American slaves to document their family histories, and to raise the consciousness of all Americans about the contributions of these ancestors.
I am available to present the basics of researching African American families with origins before the Civil War.
