Genealogy and Online Research
Claudia has been doing genealogical research since 1974, tracing her family back to the early 19th century in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. She obtained her Master's Degree in Library Science from Florida State University, and has worked as a public services librarian for eight years. She has taught library research skills at the community college level, and made several research trips to several states across the US, including Michigan, North Carolina and Oregon. She is a member of the National Genealogical Society, the Puget Sound Genealogical Society, and the Puget Sound Chapter of APG. She is the author of two books: Genealogy Offline and Searching for Your Ancestors in Historic Newspapers, both available on Amazon.
Research in local and state repositories in King, Pierce and Kitsap counties; research in the Washington State Archives and its branches, the Washington State Library, the National Archives in Seattle, the Tacoma Public Library, the King County Archives, and county courthouses. Available to lecture on several genealogical topics.
