Dr Bruce Durie
Dr Bruce Durie started and ran (until 2011) the highly-acclaimed postgraduate programme in Genealogical Studies at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, where is now an Honorary Fellow. He also teaches Genealogy, Documents and Heraldry courses for the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. In the UK Bruce is best known for his BBC Radio series "Digging Up Your Roots" and "A House With A Past" and his numerous books including the best-selling "Scottish Genealogy" (The History Press), now in its 3rd edition. Bruce is the only Scotland-based member of the prestigious Academie internationale de genealogie, and is regularly involved in the annual Tartan Week events in the USA and Canada.
