Biography:
Jane specializes in difficult to find ancestors and probate research, especially the search for heirs who descended from Dutch ancestors. Jane was awarded the Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Vanderbilt University, was employed as a governmental intelligence researcher both in the USA and overseas, and was retired as a social worker. She holds the Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University Center for Professional Education, 4 January 2017. She developed the Pioneer Certificate Program for her local society and served three years as its president. Jane combines her teaching and research experience, people skills, and past living abroad experiences to learn "Where did they come from, and where did they go?" Custom research and heir search are Jane's specialities. She has conducted heir searches in diverse states such as Wisconsin, Michigan, and California. She has visited Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York while tracing family routes to Michigan. Counties and cities in West Michigan (Muskegon, Grand Haven, Ottawa, Holland, Allegan, Mason, Manistee, Newaygo and more). Her international living, studying, and traveling include France, Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, Great Britain, Panama Canal Zone, Republic of Panama, Costa Rica, and Columbia. Languages: English, French, Spanish, 17th Century Dutch (basic birth, marriage, death only - not modern Dutch). Jane has been interested in genealogy since 1986.
