Michael W. McCormick is Chief Operating & Genealogical Officer at HEREDIUM Probate Research LLC, a missing heirs research firm processing well over one hundred cases each year. He is also on the Remote Adjunct Faculty for BYU-Idaho's associate's degree in Family History Research. Michael graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho, where he earned a bachelor of science in history, and began teaching genealogy among his peers. Michael has interned with FamilySearch, and also has previously taken genealogy clients. Michael has been awarded the Accredited Genealogist (AG ) credential, with the International Commission for Accredited Genealogists. He is a Licensed Private Investigator in Utah.
Most of the unsolved probate cases we research are found by our agents among public probate cases. We also sometimes accept cases from lawyers and others seeking help to find unknown heirs.
It brings me joy to find those elusive heirs, and to help them inherit the funds due to them from distant relatives.
