Ms. Peters, a board-certified genealogist, is a full-time researcher, author, editor, and lecturer specializing in genealogical problem solving and methodology, the Southeastern U.S., New York state, and England. Her articles published in the NGSQ and the UGA Crossroads magazine focus on proving kinship using complex evidence analysis.

She currently serves as a trustee for the Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG) and as editor of OnBoard, the BCG newsletter. She has been an instructor for the Advanced Evidence Analysis Practicum at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy, an instructor for the BCG Education Fund Putting Skills to Work workshop, and an NGS conference lecturer. She regularly researches at the South Carolina Department of Archives and History in Columbia and at county courthouses and repositories in the South Carolina upcountry.

Ms. Peters holds post-graduate degrees from the University of Arizona and the London School of Economics in London, England.
