Biography:
I have been researching my family's genealogy since 1999 and have volunteered at the Charlotte, NC FHC since 2001. On 12 February 2008, I completed the requirements for an American Studies Certificate from the National Institute for Genealogical Studies with distinction. I was approved as a Certified Genealogist by the Board for Certification of Genealogists on 18 August 2011.
My primary research interests are in 18th and 19th century southeastern U.S. records especially North Carolina and Tennessee. I also have some experience with the Indian Territory records of pre-statehood OK.
