Lectures:
I began offering genealogical talks in 2008 and have given several presentations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region in NY, CT, PA and NJ. I've spoken about Old Fulton NY Postcards (a phenomenal online resource for old newspapers), locating Civil War and War of 1812 veterans, the evolution of the Civil War Pension System, Lineage Societies, and Footnote.com (now fold3.com), to name a few.
I have spoken on Long Island at the Brentwood Public Library, the Irish Family History Forum, the Patchogue-Medford Library, and for the German Genealogy Group. I have also spoken in Manhattan at the Genealogy Event held at NARA-NYC, at the InterChurch Center, and for the Brooklyn Chapter and the Peter Minuit Chapter, NSDAR. Elsewhere in NY I have given presentations at the Capital District Genealogical Society in Albany, at the Westchester County Genealogical Society, and at the Connetquot Public Library in Bohemia.
In New Jersey, I've spoken at the Spring Genealogy Seminar at the College of New Jersey, and at the Genealogical Society of Bergen County. In Pennsylvania, I've spoken in Philadelphia at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania and in Doylestown at the Bucks County Historical Society. I've also given a talk at the Middlesex Genealogical Society in Darien, CT.

A review I wrote of the Old Fulton NY Post Cards website (http://www.fultonhistory.com) appeared in the March 2010 issue of APGQ.
