Dee Dee King, is the contract professional genealogist for the US Navy Casualty POW/MIA branch. She identifies living relatives who are eligible to contribute mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA)or yDNA and family members, who by law, can direct disposition of remains as requested by the Department of the Navy for unaccounted-for Navy service members from World War II through Vietnam. Dee Dee King currently only accepts additional research assignments in Forensic Genealogy to identify heirs and beneficiaries in proceedings under the Texas Probate Code, in oil and gas royalty cases, insurance and trust matters, citizenship, and other cases with legal implications in which kinship determination is required.
All work is performed using methods and ethics consistent with the Association of Professional Genealogists. Research, analysis, and expert written report with documentation:
*when there are unknown or no known heirs
*due and diligent search to confirm identification of all heirs-at-law
*documentation of heirship
*affidavits of heirship

Researcher since 1996. Completed Advanced Methodology, Evidence Analysis Course, Institute Genealogy and Historical Research, Samford University. Alumna of Boston Univeristy "Certificate in Genealogical Research" course. Experience with Texas Land Grants and pre-Republic of Texas research.
President 2006 - 2007, founding member, Lone Star Chapter of Association of Professional Genealogists. Member International Society of Genetic Genealogy, National Genealogical Society, Texas State Genealogical Society, and several other genealogical and historical societies.
