Kelly Summers, is an Accredited Genealogist . She received her Associates degree in Professional Genealogy and her Bachelor s degree in Family and Community History both from Brigham Young University. Kelly received her Master s degree in Instructional Design and Educational Technology from the University of Utah. Kelly has three premier genealogical credentials through the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogist (ICAPGen) demonstrating genealogical research expertise is in U.S. Midwestern & U.S. Pacific and Spain. Kelly is also an experienced researcher in Latin American (including Brazil), Southwestern European (Spain, Portugal, Italy & France) & Scandinavian countries. Kelly's research interests lie in kinship research in primary source records and rural community reconstruction. Kelly designs curriculum and teaches university level courses at Brigham Young University, online courses for Brigham Young Independent Study in addition she also teaches online genealogy courses at Salt Lake Community College. Kelly has taught on a variety of genealogical topics at many local, regional and national conferences. Kelly currently serves as the Testing Committee Chair for the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists (ICAPGen). Kelly is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and a lifetime member of the Utah Genealogical Association (UGA).
