Debbie lectures on DNA, using the law in genealogical research, computer skills, research methodology, and southwestern, southern, and Texas-related topics.

Debbie is the editor and one of fourteen authors included in Advanced Genetic Genealogy: Techniques and Case Studies (2019); this book covers advanced techniques and uses real and hypothetical case studies demonstrating genealogical standards for incorporating DNA evidence. She is coauthor, with Blaine T. Bettinger, of Genetic Genealogy in Practice (2016); the first workbook allowing beginning DNA researchers to study and test their skill at interpreting DNA evidence. She is a frequent contributor to local and state society journals and major US publications.
