The Northland Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists was officially recognized by APG in 2010. The chapter strives to promote the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in the genealogical field at the regional level. The Northland Chapter covers and welcomes members from Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Other APG members are also welcome. There are opportunitites to network, learn, and grow as ethical professionals.
Meetings are held both in person and on line. Members in the Twin Cities area meet the first Tuesday of each odd-numbered month at the Minnesota Historical Society at 11 a.m. Central time for lunch at Café Minnesota. Virtual evening meetings. usually including live webinar presentations, are held the second Tuesday of even-numbered months. If you would like to attend a meeting or learn more about the Northland chapter, please contact the members listed above.
Many of our professional genealogists are able to assist with your research, writing, and planning. Others can speak to your group on numerous genealogical topics or provide a variety of other services. Most charge fees to cover their time and research expenses, and to fund their investment in continuing education and acquired experience.
CG and Certified Genealogist are service marks of the Board for Certification of Genealogists ® (BCG), used under license by professionals who pass periodic competency evaluations by the Board.
