APG New Jersey Chapter

The New Jersey Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists (NJ-APG) was formed in 2013
to promote and support the objectives of the Association of Professional Genealogists in the State of New Jersey.

NJ-APG also provides a forum for exchange of information and ideas among professional genealogists
through its chapter objectives:

  2. To engage in activities which improve access, facilitate research, and preserve records used in the fields of genealogy and local history;
  3. To promote awareness of activities and/or laws that may affect genealogical and historical research;
  4. To facilitate collaboration and networking among members;
  5. To promote professional standards in the field of genealogy; and
  6. To promote awareness of, and interest in, professional genealogical services.

The New Jersey Chapter meets six times per year. All meetings are held at the Plainfield Public Library.
