<DIV>Thank you to all who have responded to my query about local and state
genealogy education programs so far. I won't have time to digest
everything until I return next week from an overseas trip. In the
meantime, keep the feedback coming. I will be sharing some of what I learn
in a session at FGS in Springfield.</DIV>

We try to focus in on Massachusetts records and repositories but do have
lectures and workshops that anyone could benefit from. This year we have
speakers from the Judicial Archives of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. City
of Boston Archives, American Antiquarian Society; and nationally known
speakers like Beau Sharbrough, -David Lambert and David Dearborn from the New
England Historic Genealogical Society. Usually the program director decides
with input from a committee of one or two other people. Speakers from the
local NARA branch have been very popular in the past.
