<P class=MsoNormal>African American History Month Webinar, hosted and moderated
by GSP board member and genealogical researcher Shamele Jordon.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal>This webinar will provide researchers with multiple
approaches to tracing their enslaved ancestor’s antebellum past. Using a variety
of sources including oral history, wills, estate records, assessments, tax
records and land records, the presenters will share the methodology used to
directly and indirectly link to a slave owner. Beginner, intermediate and
advanced level researchers will benefit from the information provided during
this webinar event. </P>
<P class=MsoNormal>Registrants will receive an email with a link and a telephone
number for the event, and then at the designated time, registrants will call the
phone number to hear the presenters and click on the link to view the Power
Point presentations. The audience will have time to ask questions after the
presentations. </P>

American back to his enslaved past using land records in Danville, Kentucky.</P>

</SPAN></SPAN></SPAN><B>Michael Hait</B> will reconstruct a slave family using
assessment lists in Talbot County, Maryland.</P>

</SPAN></SPAN></SPAN><B>Floyd M. Riley</B> will connect the dots using oral
history, Freedman’s Bank records, and an estate packet in Leon County,
