The KSHS also has all newspapers for the state.  I research at the KSHS on a regular basis.    Here's a link to the microfilmed government records for <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Clay</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">County</st1:PlaceName></st1:place>.  There are death index cards that go up to 1950, along with affidavits of death through 1920.  There may be other records for <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Clay</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">County</st1:PlaceName></st1:place> at KSHS but I haven't checked the other catalogs this morning and not all of their records have made it onto the online catalogs (you still need to check the card catalog at KSHS.) <a href="http://www.kshs.org/genealogists/localgovt/microfilm/clay.htm">http://www.kshs.org/genealogists/localgovt/microfilm/clay.htm</a>    If I can be of assistance, please let me know.  My hourly rate has not changed, it is still $30 per hour plus expenses (basically photocopy costs at KSHS as they don't have digital copiers available to researchers.)
