Predicament!!!! (Need Help).

This exact same thing happened to a colleague of
mine. She had a huge E-mail list that she had developed over the
years as part of her business of financial consulting. Someone
hijacked her E-mail list, changed her password so she could not get into it,
and sent a letter to everyon on her E-mail list asking for help. It was a
mess. Because she could not get into her own E-mail account she could
not send a Warning that it was a scam.

Some of her contacts
wanted to help but contacted her by phone first. Others contacted
whoever was sending the E-mail and was told where to send the money,
etc.

I knew that my colleague was not in a foreign country
because I had been with her the day before, but some of our mutual friends
tried to contact her and failed so they phoned me to see what kind of trouble
she was in and how they could help.

Bottom line is that it was a
scam for sure, but it worked on some people who were simply eager to help an
old friend that they really believed was in distress in a foreign
place.
Franklin
