only and it should not have affected trying to open a file with the .doc
extension.  So I downloaded the NJCO.zip file from your link and extracted it
into My Documents\The Master Genealogist v7\timelines\.  TMG opened it. I was
also able to open NJCO.DOC in Word with no problem.  I am running TMG 7 in
Windows 7.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

color:#1F497D'>We just had this occur at work.&nbsp; Microsoft last security
updates disabled this program which now makes it unable to open text files in
Word.&nbsp; There is supposed to be a registry change that can be made to
enable the program again.&nbsp; It is published on the Microsoft site in one of
the KB articles but I don’t have a number.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
