Caleb H. HAYNES.  He is buried in <st1:City w:st="on">Marshall</st1:City>’s <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Branch</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Cemetery</st1:PlaceType> on or near the border between <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Pike & Letcher</st1:PlaceType> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">County</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> I have spoken with the librarian at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Letcher County</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">KY</st1:State></st1:place> Library and she told me they did not have any newspapers that old but maybe the state library might have something.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> The county seat of <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Letcher</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">County</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> is Whitesburg and the Whitesburg “Mountain Eagle” newspaper began publication in 1907 and was published weekly on Thursday.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> The county seat of <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Pike</st1:PlaceType> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">County</st1:PlaceType> is Pikeville and the Pikeville “<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Pike</st1:PlaceType> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">County</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> News” began publication in 1889 and was published weekly on Thursday.<o:p></o:p> I am unable to locate any other newspapers for the region.<o:p></o:p> I checked the county clerk in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Letcher</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">County</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> and was told Rev.
