[APG Public List] abbreviation

In 1769-1779 Tryon County, NC, records, the English-speaking clerk wrote 
Jo_nn_ for Jonathan with the "nn" in superscript. He wrote J_no_ for 
John and Jo. and Jo_s_ for Joseph. The majority of residents were of 
English, Scots, and German descent.
