All NJ Marriage Records 1848-1900 are available by mail or at the NJ
Archives in Trenton, for a fee of $10. http://www.state.nj.us/state/darm/links/reference.html#collections
They usually contain, date and place of marriage, names of
individuals, residence, number of marriage, occupation and parents'
names (though not always mother's maiden name)

I am trying to get an answer to a marriage question from Newark, New
Jersey.

The marriage took place in 1894 and these were local people.

Does the local county courthouse have this Marriage Record? What
would I
expect to see on the marriage other than the name of the bride and
groom?

Any vital information pertaining to the two people getting married?

Thanks
