Ruy A. Cardoso, CG(SM), of Newton,  Massachusetts.
Cardoso, a self-employed consulting actuary  for property-casualty 
insurance companies, is a Fellow of the Casualty  Actuarial Society. He earned an SB 
from the Massachusetts Institute of  Technology. Cardoso specializes in New 
England research, and has completed  work focusing on Massachusetts, New 
Hampshire, Connecticut, Vermont, and also  New York. He coordinates a local 
genealogy club at the Newton Free Library.  Cardoso has lectured on Portuguese 
parish  records.
