> This particular problem does have a simpler solution, but for automating tasks which are somewhat more complex, there is still hope. AutoHotKey <http://www.autohotkey.com/> is free, and allows you to set up a custom script which will follow nearly any steps you might need. A lot of you would probably be overwhelmed when first learning how to set up such scripts - but for those to whom time is money...
> There are numerous instances during searching and data entry where a routine could be used over and over and over, saving most of the time taken for each step every time you used it. For many of you, it shouldn't be hard to save ten to twenty hours a month, once you've built up a collection of relevant scripts.
> And, before any of you point out the terrible things that can go wrong when you automate a task - you're right, _IF_ the script isn't carefully designed _and_ tested. Just like genealogical research itself, if you proceed carefully, your results will be much more satisfactory. If you don't, you'll end up with a mess.
