I've "rescued" an old photograph of Charles Hall GOULD which was taken at
the Hardy Studio in Boston, Massachusetts. The photograph appears to have
been taken in the 1890's with Charles appearing to be in his 30's at the
time. Thanks to the assistance of a GOULD Family Researcher we know the
following regarding Charles and his family:

Charles Hall GOULD was b. July 1868, the son of William GOULD and Sarah R.
or E. SMILEY, born in either Minneapolis, MN or Janesville, WI. William was
born in NH and Sarah in WI. Charles graduated from Dartmouth in 1892 and
later in 1897 obtained a law degree having it appears attended both Harvard
and the New York Law School. In 1900 Charles was living in Lakewood, NJ
with his wife Maria K. born Apr 1868 in ME, at the time Charles was a Wall
Street Lawyer. In 1910 the Dartmouth directory notes that his is a lawyer
and hotel manager in Dixville, NH. In 1920 Charles is living in Washington
DC and is acting Assistant Chief of Loans and Currency at the Treasury Dept
with his wife listed as Elizabeth now, though her age is the same, she is
noted as born in ME with parents born ME as well.

In 1932 the will of Maria Kitson GOULD established the Charles Hall Gould
Scholarship Fund at Bridgton Academy in Bridgton, ME. His wife's full name
is believed to be Maria Elizabeth KITTSEN or KITSON, the daughter of Richard
T. and Ellen A. KITTSEN or KITSON from Bridgton, ME. I'm hoping to locate
someone from this GOULD Family so that the photograph can be returned to the
care of family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who
might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
