Many thanks for suggestions. I talked with the Kansas State Historical
Society and for a small fee they will search the death index cards and the
obituary indexes for Clay co.

Thanks

Alvie,
I don't know of anyone up in Clay Center. Mary Douglass in Salina is
probably the closest person to Clay Center.
But, depending on what you are looking for the records may be at the
Kansas State Historical Society (KSHS) in Topeka which has microfilms of
records for locations around the state, especially the eastern half of
Kansas. The KSHS also has all newspapers for the state. I research at the
KSHS on a regular basis.
Here's a link to the microfilmed government records for Clay County.
There are death index cards that go up to 1950, along with affidavits of
death through 1920. There may be other records for Clay County at KSHS but
I haven't checked the other catalogs this morning and not all of their
records have made it onto the online catalogs (you still need to check the
card catalog at KSHS.)

If I can be of assistance, please let me know. My hourly rate has not
changed, it is still $30 per hour plus expenses (basically photocopy costs
at KSHS as they don't have digital copiers available to researchers.)

I know most of our APG members live in or near the major metropolitan areas
of KS but I need to find a local researcher in Clay Center , Clay County,
KS.

If anyone knows a researcher or a local gen. soc. in that area please advise
me so I can make contact.

I am looking for a man who died about 1920 in Clay Center . The man appears
to have had no children.

Thanks
