[APG Public List] shirttail cousins

Just curious as to any interpretations of the phrase "shirttail cousins". 
I've had an excellent answer on TheoryGen but wondering if the phrase has 
different meanings in different locations?

Any other similar 'slang' type phrases defining kinship?
