[APG Public List] Newborn Given Temporary Name?

     I found an 1855 NYS census record for my GG-Grandparents. The head of
household & wife are named, then the children are listed as follows:

unknown, F(?), 10
James,  8
unknown, F,  6
unknown, M,  4
unknown, F,  2

   Must have come from a neighbor.
