As important - is a survey of ex-members.  Why did they leave?  What would
entice them back?  Of course, this needs to be carefully handled - horror
stories of letters being sent to people who are deceased.  So - first look
in your records to see if a reason for leaving has already been given
(deceased, emigrated, etc).
