While this is a helpful record, it is far from complete. For example, it
fails to mention the loss of a Culpeper will book or Madison County's
first deed book or Albemarle's missing deed book. Even county's whose
records have suffered no major disasters have missing minute and order
books, marriage, birth and death records, etc.
