I'm curious. Wouldn't the search capabilities of the 1880 census at 
FamilySearch be the same as on the CDs?

My understanding is that online search capabilities (whether Ancestry, FamilySearch, or other) just aren't as robust as the search capabilities on the CD-ROM version, but I haven't personally done a comparson.
