[APG Public List] Validity of US passports

Isreal,
I have my grandfather's passport issued Mar. 17, 1936.  It does have his picture.  On the page opposite his picture it says "This passport, unless limited to a shorter period, is valid for two years from its date of issue and may be renewed for an additional period of two years."
