Dr Bruce Durie started and ran (until 2011) the highly-acclaimed postgraduate programme in Genealogical Studies at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. He is now Chair of Genealogy and Palaeography at the American School of Genealogy, Heraldry and Documentary Sciences and also teaches for the Universities of Edinburgh and Dundee, Scotland. In the UK Bruce is best known for his BBC Radio series "Digging Up Your Roots" and "A House With A Past" and his numerous books including the best-selling "Scottish Genealogy" (The History Press), now in its 3rd edition. He was Scotland’s Ancestral Ambassador at Tartan Week (New York and Toronto) 2013 and is heavily involved in plans for HomecomingScotland2014.
