APG National Capital Area

The National Capital Area Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists (NCAC APG) was formed in 1992 to promote the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in the genealogical field at the regional level. Nearly all of our members conduct research in local repositories such as the National Archives and Library of Congress, but many have geographic and ethnic specialities outside the Capital area. Our members are also active in teaching, lecturing, publishing, and volunteering.

The National Capital Area Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists provides this list of those members who wish to have their names published, many of whom are available for a variety of research commissions. We do not, however, guarantee results. If clients are dissatisfied with commissioned research, we suggest they contact the APG National Office for information about the arbitration procedure.

2007-2008 Officers:
President: Sandra MacLean Clunies
Vice-President: Richard G. Sayre
Secretary: Ellen Rafferty
Treasurer: Margaret "Mary" Russell

For further information, please contact our Chapter Representative, Mary Jane Frances Smith

(Note: the second part of the list consists of members not taking new clients).
